Our natural Hamalakis olive oil has excellent quality standards: It has very low acidity and its organoleptic characteristics , both taste and aroma, are exceptional.
The green olives, which the extra virgin quality oil comes from, are collected, when they are mature or almost mature, directly from the trees and are immediately brought unharmed to our modern oil factory, without being kept in storage. There the process of milling and centrifugation starts within 6 hours. We produce the oil purely through a mechanical treatment at a maximum temperature of 27°C using the centrifuge method (cold extraction).
This method of cultivation corresponds to the strict standards for organic farming (EC regulation 2092/91) ) and is controlled by the DIO certification office for organic products approved by the EU. The olive oil, when it is ready, on completion of a thorough chemical analysis, is certified and classified as the highest quality category. We use exclusively natural substances and organic fertilizer to care for the trees, so our oil does not contain any pesticides and insecticides.
